Harea Band Wins Champions League/Semi-Final (May 16)!

Having won their preliminary round and then their Winner's Circle/quarter-final stage, Harea Band was victorious last night winning the ballot vote at the Lunenburg Pub & Bar and will thus advance to the Beerfest Championship/Final in December 2013. The jazzy-pop trio out of Carleton University, who had just formed when they first played Beerfest in December 2012, showed their finest form yet at the event, and the large audience responded by crowding to the front of the intimate stage.

Harea Band was been awarded $500 in cash & prizes, including a day of recording at Gallery Recording Studios. This is timely as Harea Band has just begun recording their debut album. The Owl Eyes Project and Sneakmodetripper split the 2nd half of the $1000 in cash & prizes that was up for grabs after both putting in astonishing sets. Two more Champion's League/semi-final shows will be held (on Aug. 15, & then in November) to determine Harea Band's competition for the Final.
